Record a Video of an App

Did you know on Windows 10, you can record what is happening on your screen? The new Game DVR option is supposed to be used to record a video of gaming on your computer, but you can also use it to record an app in general. To read more on how to do this, check out this link http://bit.ly/1OA2kGy

Do you know what the apps are on your child's cell phone?

What you don't know could surprise you. "Ghost Apps" are making their way around and make it harder and harder for a parent to know what their child is doing on their smart phone. Ghost Apps are apps that are designed to look like an innocent app to hide it's actual function. An example is a calculator app that works like a calculator, but once a code is put in, it reveals photos and texts that can be encrypted, or hidden, from unwanted eyes, (parents).

Below are some tips that can help you make sure your child is staying out of trouble on their phone.

Android:

Go to play.google.com – login with their Google Play credentials

Click on the My Apps Icon on the Left hand Side of the Page

Select the device from the drop down Menu

Use CTRL + F – to Find a string of Characters (Vault, calculator, etc)

IOS Devices:

Go to Itunes on your computer and check download history – use the corresponding APPLE ID AND PASSWORD for the device

Open iTunes on your computer. From the menu options at the top of the screen, go to "Store".

Find and click on "View My Account".

You will then be prompted for your password. Enter your password and click "View Account".

You will be taken to an account summary page with various information. In the second grouping of options you will see a button that says "Purchase History".

Press that button to be taken to a list of all your iTunes downloads
